Jared kept looking around her house, he didn’t want to be caught staring at her. He couldn’t take his eyes off her. “I uh wanted to see you” he said. That was half of the reason he showed up. He didn’t want to bring up the topic of what happened that one night immediately. He had to get use to Alexa again. After all she was gone for some time and people change. He knew he changed. He wasn’t that sweet guy anymore. He actually became a jerk after she left. Jared wondered what she would think of him now, after who he became. “You look nice” he added, stupidly. He shook his head almost laughing at himself. He sounded stupid, almost as if he was a little kid that didn’t know what to say to a girl. He looked at her briefly and smiled. He couldn’t believe how awkward this was for him.

She scrunched up her nose playfully, making a face at his little compliment. Just like any other girl, Alexa didn’t believe it. She shrugged her shoulders while finally smiling. “Thanks,” She replied, sticking out her tongue slowly then laughed at how silly she was being for no reason. Alexa was probably trying to ruin the tension, make things less awkward then it already was. She wanted to make the both of them feel comfortable in their presence. Alexa moved towards him, wrapping her arms around his waist but leaning back so her bright eyes could roam him. “You look nice too. You don’t have the same hair, makes me sad.” Alexa joked then shook her head, smiling to indicate that it was a joke. “You look way mature. I think you got so much taller. I don’t know, You look better than nice. You look great, Jared.” She added while letting her eyes meet his. Alexa smiled then finally let him go. She really didn’t want to since it felt like another goodbye but she wasn’t going to admit anything like that.
